Next stop was Blacks. We got there at a time where the wait was only about 20 mins.

Their briskets, Big Huge Beef Ribs, Sausage, pork ribs, and Turkey was all amazing!!

That looks awesome! Austin is where I'd live if I didn't live in Tampa. We've got an office there in the Domain and it's my most frequented of all 83 offices we have in North America ha!

Also awesome of Salt Lick to recognize your service.

Thank you for your bravery and service to the community you serve!!

Just something I thought might be worth mentioning... Salt Lick might not care for you advertising that you were able to cut the line by using credentials. It may be something that they can't do all the time and was a one time good deal. If it were me, that'd be something I kept close to the vest and enjoyed whenever I had the opportunity. BTW, thank you for your bravery and service to the community you serve!!
For the job he and his fellow officers do every day, I wouldn't mind at all letting him in front of me.

Oh man, no argument from me at all! I'd do the same. That absolutely wasn't my point. In fact, just to end any further confusion, I'll edit that.

I'm an avid motorcycle guy and love bbq so your vacation sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing, side note watching what motor gp guys can do on a bike is nuts. I used to go and watch them at Laguna Seca back in the day.

Next up was Louie Muellers. They closed at 6pm and we got there at 4:30 and saw this guy hanging a sign that said, " Sorry Folks. Out of food. Closed for the day"!!!!!

I was like, WHAT?!?!?!

I told the guy, "Man, I just drove here from Atlanta, GA". He said, "Well, hold on a second". He came back shortly and said, "Come on in". :)
We had the whole place to our selves.

They were out of most things but we got plenty of brisket and sausage. THIS was some great food!! Brought some home. Had it last night with the parents, sister and b-in-law.

Thanks you. But I never expect special treatment, but appreciate it greatly when offered. I would still have waited to eat.

I've been to Laguna Seca once in 2003 for the AMA and WSB race.
