Howdy All!
I have made a huge upgrade to my BBQ setup with a Superior SS2 smoker (like a stumps).
My question relates to temp control. If you are trying to run a 225 to 250 pit, is your rear valve mostly closed even with a Guru or stoker?
Is it a mistake to let it get higher in temp and try to bring it down like it is on the Egg?
With the valve and shutter open using the guru, will there STILL be too much airflow to hold lower temps?
Any suggestions would be welcome, I have a 5 rack, 2 butt, lots of ABT weekend this weekend and would love to have a nice showing for the neighbors son who is returning unannounced from a 1 year stint in Afghanistan. He is trying to surprise his family at our yearly BBQ and worked this through my wife.
THANKS!
