![]() My advice would be to stay away from gatlinburg and pigeon forge, rent a cabin with a grill in wears valley, cook your own food and spend as much time as humanly possible hiking in the park. The great smoky mountain national park is the most beautiful place I’ve seen in the US. Make sure to spend time on the NC side. It’s every bit as pretty as the TN side and less crowded.

![]() When I was there the best thing you could do, aside from enjoying the park, was to forget about BBQ and go shop(window or for real) at Smoky Mtn Knife Works, Bud's Gun Shop, and the Lodge CI Store.

![]() Have you considered taking a day trip to Nashville? If you do I can recommend way more restaurants, including a couple good barbecue joints.
