Default Thoughts on new burger topping...

Thinking about topping a burger with bacon burnt ends. Anyone done this? Thoughts?

Think I should leave the burnt ends in big cubes? Or after smoking, slice them in half and top the burger with it?

Bacon burnt ends? Or pork belly burnt ends? I could see belly working if it’s rendered properly, though I’d probably cut them into smaller pieces after cooking if using as a burger topping as belly burnt ends are typically like 1.5x1.5” or so, give or take, depending on the thickness of the belly.

Ya I've smoked pork belly burnt ends before, but I'm going to try some slab bacon.

I'd eat that. I believe that's a YES. Perhaps minced up a bit for better consumption.

Yes they do! You can see what all goes into the burnt end burger in this KC Public Television documentary from a few years back. The whole videos is a fun watch, but the specific part about the Q39 Burnt End Burger starts at 20:28: https://youtu.be/AZgD2pn8CAQ?t=1228
