Hardly qualifies as a road trip but outside of SLC visited Bam's in Orem, Utah
Bam's was so good I made the trek out there twice. Thought the fatty brisket & turkey were outstanding. Pork ribs and jalapeno sausage were not far behind.
Was in Austin area for a BBQ trip in February, and IMO Bam's is as good if not better then the best of that region. Don't want to come off like a Bam's fan boy, but I believe if he was in a more BBQ heavy city, there would be lines hours long to get in. It's world class IMO :boxing:
As well owner was real outgoing. Was able to pick his brain a little bit about his experience cooking with John Lewis of LA BBQ. Just seemed like a down to earth cool dude.
