A recipe. This was excellent on its own, but a dish I remembered was when she would make this with ground beef instead of squash. Several cans of cheap biscuits cooked until well done on the bottom lovingly called burned bottoms- this was ladeled over buttered(or oleo’d) burned bottom biscuits. Our hamburger meat wasn’t scraps. My grandad, would have a steer butchered and The story goes he’d get a couple steaks, 1-2 roasts and the rest hamburger. Lots of Hamburger in our diet. I think it would be great with smoked meats
