I have a commitment on the weekend of 4/13.
Other than that, if there's no competition we're going to do, I'm DEFINITELY in!

I'll bring a quad, a smoker and the family!!

That's a great idea Shane!! For those who compete, judge or just enjoy BBQ there are some KCBS events scheduled in the area in March, April & May 2013 if you want to coordinate with those?

Heatin' Up The Bricks in Kearney, NE (March 22 & 23, 2013)
http://www.kcbs.us/events.php?year=2...nth=10&id=3899

Pony Express BBQ Challenge (April 26 & 27, 2013)
http://www.kcbs.us/events.php?year=&month=&id=3815

North Platte Honky Tonk Barbecue Festival (Can't find the date but it should be the weekend after the Pony Express, May 3 & 4, 2013)

Food for thought anyway!!! Cheers!!!

What is this "pheasant" you speak of? Is that some sort of ancient bird? Good luck finding one of those!

So if went to Nebraska could this count as a Texas Bash?

Hmmmm, could get Arlin's order of beer from Texas and meet him on Oklahoma & car-pool . . .

Well chit, I have a camper, but it ain't a fifth wheeler, I drive a Mini, I voted for Obama -- and I love a good brisket. So, I'm not sure I'm allowed in Nebraska, and I don't want to bring my own brisket.

However, with a 30 amp hookup, I could add a home theater to my camper, and still run the air conditioner.

There is still that brisket issue. Is anyone coming that can cook a brisket?

Just because Shane can't cook one, doesn't mean all Nebraskans can't.
