Michael took this pecan tree down. With our county livestock shows, a trip to the Texas Bash, visiting family, and cleaning up the rest of the damage by Michael we hadn't had time to work on this project. The barn it's on is a old finishing floor from when we raised hogs. It was built when I was a teenager so not a huge loss. It missed the end we have remodeled for our grandkids 4H/FFA projects.
It is finally cool enough this weekend to do a little firewood/smoker wood work. We are cutting the lower limbs we can get to. Our neighbor has a tree business and he'll move the big pieces when he gets caught up. In the meantime any brethren need some pecan? It's free, as is and where is!

Pecan wood is one of my favorites but you are bit too far away. Maybe I can talk my snow bird dad into stopping by and getting me some on his trek to Florida this year. Yeah right he wont even bring me a souvenir. :-D

"Baxter's Original" is a BBQ smoking wood supplier that I have used in the past. They are in Fitzgerald which I think is not far from you? Maybe they would be interested in that tree...

Dang I'm in Augusta but that is a ways for me too. Love fresh pecan
