Wait, is that who I think it is? IT IS!. It's Mr and Mrs Paul and Sharon Shirley and they have a cooker on a trailer.
Yes, Brethren, I joined the Shirley club. I wrecked my brain for several months but in the end I knew what I wanted and Shirley Fabrication delivered.
Meet my new cooker.
24"-48" patio model (Paul said this is the first 48 he's ever built. I got #1)
3 shelf cook chamber
3 shelf warmer
1/2" thick firebox
Also included a charcoal grate for the warmer, ash pan, and baffle block.
As a token of my appreciation I gave Paul a real oak bourbon barrel lid with his team on it. I was going to play a joke and have one made with Auburn too but I didn't want him to run over my mailbox and drive off with my cooker. :-D
It's dark and I'm tired but I can tell you this cooker is a beast and I can't wait to break it in.

Happy for your William! That is a fine cooker, it was hard keeping that under wraps but worth the wait.

Congratulations!

I've eyeballed this cooker and I can tell you I haven't seen a single MM of porosity in any of the welds. In layman's terms that's small pin holes in the welds. As an auto worker I can confirm that these welds are better than many of our robotic MIG welders. This is elite fabrication.

I'm not an auto worker, but I have driven multiple vehicles in my time. With that being said, I agree that it is one good looking unit.

Congrats! I can barely remember when mine was that clean. You fooled us with that 3 week statement. But you never said you ordered it 3 weeks ago...[emoji35]

I am a little confused here, is this one of the models that BBQFREAK got here a while back ? or did you order it a long time ago ? 2 year wait or something like that ? are times way shorter now . please explain if you don't mind ?

No this is not one of the models bbq freak got.... it’s a cooker a customer had in order that kids fell off the face of the earth.... it is a 48 inch chamber which I’ve never built.... I knew William was looking for a cooker.... so I was passing right by his place and offered it to him... win win... I recouped my money and William got a cooker ..... as far as the 36 inch prototype Tyler has prolly 10 that are fixing to be ready
