Howdy
Thanks for having me- excited to be here. I live in Cedar Park, TX (suburb of Austin). Father of 4, 1 in college, 3 in HS, I have mostly been grilling for several years. Used to do more long cooks, but family of five is pretty busy and my stick burner has been sitting there. Needed to replace my old grill (propane on one side, charcoal on the other) and was looking at pellet poopers. I like cooking with lump charcoal though (wore out the charcoal side of the old grill long before the propane), wanted something versatile and more convenient and a friend suggested the MB.
Bought the 1050, it arrived last week. My oldest daughter and I put it together tonight, looking forward to burning it in, seasoning and the actually cooking. Not sure when that will happen- I coach one of my other daughter's travel softball team, so was out of town last weekend and the next two. BUT it is getting close! May try to get some ribs or pork butt on while working from home this week :) |
