Default Meal for two guys working at the cabin

Smoked my first UDS Fatty this afternoon. My son and I are doing some prep work, prior to re-staining my log cabin. We stopped on the way up, to buy the main ingredients. I smoked at about 250-F for about 2-1/2 hours over some air dried birch chunks. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out!

I also baked a small batch of sourdough dinner rolls in a Dutch Oven. I put the rolls into an 8-inch Dutch Oven, and set it in the sun for a few hours until the sourdough rises. Then I lit the coals, and baked it with 8 coals on top and 4 underneath for about 20 minutes. My son says my sourdough is way too good!

I have some Walleye in the freezer, that we are talking about throwing on the Schwenker tomorrow, if the weather is nice. Summer at the cabin is hard to beat!

Yeah, about a mile to the nearest paved road.Northern Minnesota. Mosquitoes arrive by the billions once it starts to get dark.
