Back in the day, the go to bbq/grilled appitzer was ABTs.

Is that still the case or is there a new hottee everyone prefers?

Bacon wrapped saltines here.

bacon wrapped triscuits topped with pimento cheese and a spicy pickle or slice of pickled jalepeno.
bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese and a piece of jalapeno.

Never heard of those got a recipe for the FIlipino sticks you can share?

Here's where I stray from the recipe:

And here is the recipe:

NOTE: I just looked through this recipe and it was not my original I started with. It is close to the measurements I actually use. My first recipe had One Two liter of 7up. This one is 3 cups, which is much closer to my 1 liter. And I use Jalepenos if I can't find Thai peppers. Instead up 2 cups oyster sauce, I think its like a 12 oz bottle and I dump it all in without measuring. Much too thick, you'd waste half in the measuring cup.

Good stuff.

If you search the interweb for Filipino Pork Barbecue, you'll get a bunch of similar hits.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Planning for a family reunion. Was going to cook brisket but decided I didn't want to stay up at night, so catering the BBQ.

My plan is to cook something so that fresh cooking aroma is wafting through the air during the party and give something to snack on.
