Picked up some dry aged steaks on Friday at my local butcher. Cooked them over a nice coal bed in the fire place. Just salt and pepper. They were amazing.

While doing some work in the backyard yesterday, cooked a slab of STL ribs. Recently bought a 2016 bag of Oakridge Crucible ghost and had to try it. Light coating and topped with Plowboys yardbird. 6 hours at 250F on the stick burner. Fantastic tasting ribs, might prefer this over HDD and I love that.

I would say two VERY nice cooks! Is that grill in your fireplace?

Thanks a lot, it's a setup I came up with after seeing something similar in a video. Had my BIL weld together the construction to hold the grate. Works in the fireplace but also outdoors.
