Default Sunday Shoulder

Well Ive gotten to point in my BBq where family is starting to ask for it! My brother in law has requested it for thanksgiving along with the turkey. So with that being said its on the smoker today along with one for family dinner tonight its a shoulder two pack from Costco. Double pack 16lbs in all


These two picks are after about 2 hrs cooking nice and slow at about 200*


There will be more Pron as the day goes on they started at 4am

Looking good! I know about those Costco Butts. Try to find a Bone in at a local store, they will not flop apart like that.

They both look great! I like the boneless ones...more surface area to get rub into and they always cook quicker than bone in's.

Hey thanks a lot yeah i like the Costco product too i dont mind tying at all they are really taking there sweet time butt they are big to though. U.D.S is at 200* they have been on since 4am and the small one just hit 152 IT more pics real soon

200 seems low to me - do you always cook at 200?

I believe i have hit the "stall" i have not seen any movement in temp in like 2.5hrs so i am ramping up the temp

Your not gonna notice any difference cooking that low other than taking much longer.
Drums run better @ 250ish.

Yeah it was the first and last time for that i ramped it up to 275* and finished them they turned out awesome will post pics soon.
