I actually did it reverse sear. Normally I go hot and fast direct cook, but I thought I would mix it up.

Was that one of the primes or Kobe? They do have some nice looking steaks from time to time. I've told my wife we need to splurge sometime and buy a couple of the Kobe steaks. Her response is they cost too much and I say what do you pay in a steak house? Disclaimer, there are no real steak houses where we live and therefore, we do not go out for steak. I'm usually perusing the choice steaks looking for reduced price meat.

I am right there with you...but my wife wasn't with me yesterday! It was one of they "American Kobe" which they have now labeled as "American Wagyu."
