Default Finally seasoned...

I finally had a chance to season my 22” Blackstone griddle this weekend. The cooktop had a weld mark or some kind of high spot, a few burs & was pretty sharp. A file & sandpaper solved it but it’s a shame it went out the door like that. It seasoned pretty quickly then I was off & running. I did some smash burgers, curly fries, bacon, toast, pancakes(the molds are trash), loaded hash browns, eggs & a cheese steak. I’m pretty happy with it & look forward to using it more.

Very nice! Enjoy!

I was looking at them yesterday at Walmart and noticed that some of the units had some sharp edges. As you said, not hard to deal with but not great QC

I'm really happy with mine. Especially with the ability to take the griddle top to the kitchen sink for cleaning. Mine did not have any sharp edges or other problems. You say you seasoned it. Did it not come pre-seasoned?

Looking like some pretty good food already. They are a lot of fun. Enjoy
ps...I would give a quick call to Blackstone to let them know about the sharp edges just for the simple fact that they don't continue putting out bad products. I too could fix easily but, there are many that can't.

I was just going by the manufacturer’s suggestions. It was not black like it is now.

Are you deep frying in a pot on top of a griddle?

Why yes I am. It helped me eliminate what I refer to as mad wife syndrome. She hates residual fried food smells in the house. It worked pretty well.
