Do you have a dehydrator? Did you buy some fresh herbs to use for a recipe and have a bunch leftover? Don't throw them away, put them in the dehydrator for a few hours.

So much better than the crap from the store. More fragrance, more flavor.

You can cut up celery and dehydrate too. Makes for a good add to soups and gumbos. You can also make raisins. It takes quite a while but far better than any raisin you ever bought.

Had an uncle named Herb. He didn't play trumpet.

I have a dehydrator and I often buy fresh herbs, use what I need for a recipe, then forget about them in the fridge for a couple weeks where they degrade. I’ve thought that I need to do this, now I will.

I grow cilantro. And without a doubt its 10 X's better than anything that comes from the store.

And I grew a stand of basil last summer. It died out with the first freeze a couple months ago, but still leaves an aroma in the garden. Amazing.

I may have to invest in the dehydrator. Though the cilanto will live all winter, its very hardy. We've had some 10* nights that bit it back a little, but it survives and comes back strong.
