I have some questions i need answered before i build a brick grill/smoker pit in my backyard under my deck-Question 1- the location that i have chosen / under my deck should get very little rain on it so what type material should i make my doors out of cast iron or what. -question 2- when exhausting will it be ok to change over to alum. so that i can route the exhaust up and around my deck. and the last questionwhen building how much space needs to be between th inner fire brick and the outer brick. if anyone has a design that they don't mind sharing i would love to see it, and maybe get some ideas, right now its just concrete but i ready to start building

A pic of where you plan on putting it would help a lot. Not sure I'm getting the under the deck concept. I know that I barely have room to stand up under mine.

You may need to check your local building codes pertaining to a permanent bbq before you start.
