Default San Antonio/New Braunfels Recommendations

Hey guys,

Kids and I will be visiting San Antonio/New Braunfels, Texas next week from NC. Any BBQ (or any variety) restaurants y'all recommend? Thanks!

This place in New Braunfels is pretty loaded with all kinds of rubs and sauces.

There's City Market in Luling for BBQ and Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia for Mexican in San Antonio.

If y'all are into history type attractions there are the San Antonio Missions to tour.

BTW, if you go to Kreuz Market be sure to get the pork chop. It's phenomenal.

100% without a doubt recommend the Burnt Bean in Seguin.

Go up to Salt Lick. Q may not be the best, but the place is pretty cool.
Go see Gruene Hall.

We were very disappointed in Salt Lick.

Gruene hall is cool. Oldest honky tonk in TX. And if yer into those, Luchenbach isn’t that far away.
