Pork Butts

So I have had a runnign debate with some family and I was wondering how Ya'll do it. Do you buy bone in or out Pork Butts? if bone i do you debone before or after?

Personaly i used to buy bone in smoke and then pull. I have tryed getting deboned butts buts but they cost quite a bit more..... (that I cant figure out since its a 2 second job...) Last time i deboned it myself rolled it up and tied it with butchers twine , which ii will be doing from now on as i felt that the smoke got deeper.

But anywho how do you all get'em?
 
I normally get bone in and pull it out just before pulling. However, for a number of experiments I have done where I tested a large number of variables, I bought either shoulder country style ribs or bought butts bone-in, deboned them while still raw and cut up into similar sized chunks for the test.
 
Bone in, I buy into the idea that the meat tastes better bone in.
