I'm going to be purchasing a stick burner this summer. Nothing special, probably a Pecos or OK Joe Higland. We have a local flooring mill that makes hardwood floors for basketball courts, and they sell the clippings for firewood. It is all kiln dried either oak or maple in 6-12 inch chunks. Would this be decent for throwing in the cooker?

As long as it doesn't have any finish or treatment applied to it, it should be good. The pieces might be a bit small, which just means you might have to feed the fire a little more often than you would with splits.
