Well, nice fall day. Looked more like spring actually.:-D So I decided to get the fire pit going with some peeecan and put another layer of seasoning on the DO's. I made a (beanless, though I love beans in my chili) brisket chili and a sausage, potato, and collard stew. Also had a few brews and just basically hung out in the backyard listening to some tunes.

I had no choice but to wear shorts and a sleeveless shirt. Farking fall weather in the Southwest. Gotta love it!

Top: bacon and onions for the chili. Bottom: polish, brats, and onions for stew.

Awesome! Cloudy, chilly day here in Georgia, so I'm gonna throw together my chili tomorrow. Your chili looks great!

I'm not interested in the Collards, but that Chili looks awesome!:-D

Thanks all!

Man, making chili doesn't get much more old school than that...Very Nice!!:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Good looking grub and you gotta love the semi-primitive cooking system. That chili and stew looks killer.

Looks perfect Bob!! The yard, the pit, the food...just everything. Nice job!!:-D

Nice job! Looks like you were having fun at it too (most important).

Most people around here think that a "Dutch Oven" is when you fart in bed and then immediately pull the covers up over her head!

Good luck!

I'd have a fire going 24/7 if I had a cool pit like that! Fun.
That stew looks great!
