woke up at 4am to get the smoker ready...put 4 butts on and still have two briskets to go for our 4th party...anyone else up at this am getting their que on for the 4th?:-D

I'm up now. Had my alarm set for 4:15 and I never heard it go off. Fortunately I woke up at 5:30 anyway so I'm not too far behind schedule. I just got my UDS lit and put a pork butt on there along with a brisket flat from a steer I bought from a local ranch. I'm excited to see how it turns out! Now to find some breakfast....

I can't believe you can smell me from there! There is no way my wife will let me back in bed smelling as smokey as I do. Luckily, I have my trusty old recliner. See y'all in a few hours.
