Your Brine Recipe for Chicken

Folks, like many of you I am looking for the proverbial "WOW" factor when cooking chicken. I am convinced that brining does enhance the flavor and texture factor of the chicken. Knowing this I am looking for the different recipes you folks use when you brine your chicken. Thanks for the help.
 
This is the brine I use for turkey and you can quarter it for chicken. It is very simple and tasty.

1 gallon of chicken or veggie stock
1cup salt
1cup brown sugar
1 tbs whole peppercorns
1 tbs whole allspice (not necessary if you don't have it on hand)

Bring ingredients to a boil and simmer for 20 mins. Then cool and mix in 1 gallon of ice water and drop in bird.
 
What is your ratio of soak to oil?


i mix kosmo chicken soak and olive oil. definately wow factor[/QUOTE]
 
Another question - How long of a period do you brine your chicken?
