Has anyone had experience using a BBQ Guru (forced air supply) for their big pits? I am having a new pit built (the pit size will be 72" x 34") and wonder if these new-fangled gadgets would be beneficial...

On a pit that big, I would assume you are burning straight wood. A BBQ Guru is used more for a minion method style burn with charcoal, I don't see it useful for a stickburner at all. You control the fire more by how much fuel you add not by the amount of air so much.

I know stoker has some pretty big fans (25 cfm) my wsm only needs 5 cfm.

I use a 25 cfm on my Humphrey's which isn't that big at all. I get about a 12 - 14 hour burn from 8 pounds of charcoal.

You would probably need two fans Call them and talk to them They have awesome customer service

I have one (CyberQ wifi) for my large BGE. It is fantastic. Extremely precise. The ability to monitor and regulate remotely is fantastic.
