somebody shut me the fark up.
I run a griddle topper on my gasser - anyone run a griddle on a pooper.?
Smitty - Ever think about converting an existing grill or smoker by adding pellet hopper? I have been contemplating it lately. Would be fun project plus I never liked the idea of how close the deflector pan is on a lot of pelllet cookers, frying the bottom of meat from below with too much radiant heat.
Here are a few creative examples. Looks pretty straightforward with Smoke Daddy hopper once you cut the hole.

But the pellet grills ain’t much different than a reverse flow offset in terms of the plate and radiant heat........somewhat different as fire is off to the side on offset and fire is under the plate on pooper.
You’ve asked that twice now on 2 different threads .....No.
I always have Multiple Cookers/Smokers. Have had up to 10 at one time. I’m Down to 8 unless I count the 2 small portable grills then I’m still at 10. Don’t have to be Bored with One to get another one - Esp One of different Size or Type. Ideally I’d have a Small, Med. n Large of each type........
Fair enough. You didn't reply in the other thread so I thought I would ask here.
I don't understand the motivation to have that many cookers but different strokes for different folks I guess
I’d be looking at Pitts and Spitts made right there in Texas, the 850 model is right in that same range
It’s a Hobby - trying n learning different cookers. I don’t play golf or video games or computer building - I don’t have motorcycles or Hotrods ( Wish I did ) n other things. Catfish for Bigguns in the Winter, Shoot Guns a lil bit and Cook n Play with Cookers/Smokers........ :mrgreen:g]
For clarification, is your hobby making BBQ, or collecting cookers?
Yes.
Are you new here?Hey, if it takes buying cookers to get excited about cooking, more power to ya
