Hi Guys,

So I was walking though my local small grocery store when I spotted the "managers special" rib tips for $1.50 a LB... Ok, I'll take a 2 Lb pack since the kids and wife are away... Seasoned them up and threw them on the mini BGE... what you see here is me fitting 10 LBS of ribs in a 5 LB sack, I smoked them with apple and peach...

I had to pull out the big guns to chop it all up:

Now when I was a kid they would glaze these and cook them another 2 hours in the smoker, here is right before I put them back on:

And here is what I ate, homemade slaw, Bush baked beans and the tips all served on a slice of Wonder Bread... Just like I was 12 again :-D

Thanks for looking!
Greg

Tips look GREAT.What is that poured all over the bread? I am the only one in my house that likes the tips too.Their loss,my gain.

I Used Stubbs original since I couldn't find my favorite:

I take a bowl and after smoking toss them in sauce then return to a foil packet for 2 hours... I prefer High 5 sauce but Stubbs original is a close second...

Thanks
Greg

Love me some rib tips. Those look awesome.

As an unfortunate side note, Hecky Powell of Hecky's BBQ in Evanston passed away a few days ago. Hecky's makes some of my favorite rib tips.

Looking like a really good dinner. I don't do the tips often, but I love them. Most of the time I separate the meat and grind it. Makes tasty ground pork.

That's a tasty looking platter you put together there Greg, I'm here for the Hot Links too. :hungry:

Looks good to me as well not to mention great deal. That "bread" looks like a baked potato with sour cream

Just noticed in my original post I didn't call out the baked potato, you are right, that is what it is. Look closely, under the tips is the bread :icon_blush:

Thanks,
Greg
