Good Day, Brethren:

Just picked up a load of firewood, more than I normally buy. Thinking about storing some in the garage to free up some of my truck bed space. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

More than attracting termites (or other pests) it can introduce them. Outdoor woodshed or stacked and tarped is done for a reason.

Never in my garage. Too may bugs, etc for me. Mine is outside next to the shed

I do keep a small amount in my garage on a 4ft wide wood stand. The majority is outside on the side of the garage though. I also periodically put granular bug killer around my garage and woodpile so I haven't had any problems with bugs or termites.

I’ve always felt this was a bad idea. I’ve seen a mouse or two without a wood pile in mine. Can’t imagine it getting any better with wood stacks. Rodents, spiders, etc.

I keep some in a rack off the ground inside my garage but most is outside on an elevated rack sitting on a concrete pad. Saw a snake sink on top of the wood pile outside last week. I think it was a small rattler. Had 3 buttons on the tail.
