Never had it before, made a mustard / dill / creme fraiche (who am I kidding, 1 cup heavy cream, 2 tbsp Sour cream, let it sit)
I added extra pepper.
It was really excellent. NOTE - it had been previously frozen, don't freeze again. Enjoy.

That white stuff oozing out is fat, I guess. Wife hates fish, she's away, I eat it.
Ate about 100 mussels Tuesday and Wednesday (one Costco sack).
This Sockeye is very light and tasty. Simple to make. I ate it like an animal.
I made it inside in the oven 350 then broiled it for a minute, [it's blowing 25+ steady outside.]
Fricking good fish for a dinner for familiy or friends.

Love that fish!
I bet you get it fresh. @ steps above this, but this was really good.
If I learned to cook it perfect...
I don't see it that often. I saw it, I was hungry, wife out of town, I bought it.
Good start.

Looking good! The “white stuff” is just coagulated protein.

Love salmon Check out some posts by RossFromVentura He had some great salmon cooks

I just did it for the first time as well since it was 9.99/lb. Excellent fish, although I found that it definitely dried out quicker than the normal Steelhead I buy from Costco. Have to be careful with it.

That looks AMAZING...:thumb:
