This is a 2 probe unit. This is all I normally require for most of my backyard cooks. One for protein and one for grill temp. It uses the same BBQ Go app for Bluetooth connection as the other Inkbird units.

Unboxing:

Here are pics of the unit. It contains a spool and clip on the back to wrap the probe. Both probes can be wrapped but only one clip for a probe. The probes connect at the top of the spool:

Took about 1 second to connect to the BBQ Go app. Here are some screen shots. Can't wait to try it on a cook but the probes are solid and accurate.

What I like about this unit as well as the other Inkbird products I've tested is the ability to add your custom cook alarms and label them. (see bottom of pic):

Uses 2 AAA batteries. They claim Bluetooth range of 150'. I tested it out to 100' through 1 brick and 3 sheetrock walls and did not loose connection. Range of probes is 32-482*F. As pic 2 in the post, the additional spec's are listed.

Take away:

Great 2 Probe unit for the $$.

Ken Ink asked me to post the promotional discount code for any Brethren interested. Here is an excerpt from his email.

Happy BBQing!

nice I have the ibbq-4t and had some issues connecting the 1st time. I' am kinda retarded and drunk usually though so I think that was the reason. Works like a champ now. Glad you like yours also.

You and I are Brothers from another Mother my Friend! :becky:

I got the 4 probe wifi and can't use it. I should have checked to see if I had the right wifi speed. Oh well, look before you leap...

Have this one still in the box. I don’t insert a probe until well into a cook but it’s nice to monitor cooks from the recliner. Also monitor inside the cooler while resting.
I enjoy the customized Names “Fatty” and their alarm temps.
The rechargeable battery on the 4probe Bluetooth is amazing. The battery life is strong. Many cooks before you have to top it off (as I said I don’t probe until well into a cook) usually only monitoring the last 3-4 hours plus the rest.

For the price, functionality and that dang never ending Inkbird battery I’ve enjoyed IB Products.

Looking forward to using the remote two probe thermometer down the road

I have this unit as well as a 6x that use the same BBQ GO app. I don't like that I can't have both units loaded in the app at the same time. If I use a different unit than what I used the last time I have to delete the previous one and connect to the one I am now using. It would be nice to have both listed and just select the one you are using each time.

In the rare event I’m tracking two meats in two cookers (very rare) I also have an Igrill Mini and a DOT. I’ve thought of your scenario and can you place your cookers close enough together to reach proteins in two different cookers? I have 4 probes and three have never been used

Again I’m mainly a Thermapen guy only tracking certain meats at the end of cooks. However I’m fairly inventive at MSU with cookers and grates.
Let your imagination run wild.

It's almost impossible that you don't have the correct wifi band - it works on the 2.4Ghz band which I have never seen an access point not have.

Some APs don't name them separately, and that may cause and issue, but unless you have something other than your standard Xfinity/FIOS/ATT wifi router combo thing that's unlikely.

If you want to try and figure it out, post up some more info about your system.

I just tried the 20% discount code at checkout, and Amazon says the code is not valid. Maybe Ken typed it wrong?

Additional code didn’t work for me either.
Happens I guess

That looks really nice. I 've had an Inkbird now for at least 5 years. It is the only remote thermometer I bought that actually works and it was the cheapest too! I like that I can control from the phone. I expect future models may have wifi.

Amen. Low stress, Low drag. Just work and give me an accurate temp. No need to over think it. :thumb:

Future model is here.
