Got abundance of okra in the garden. Looking on some pointers and sauce/rub ideas for grilling it. Still love it fried, just tired of the cleanup.

I never grilled it but when frying it add a little kyane pepper to the seasoning.Pretty good.

I've never grilled it but here is how we usually eat it. Cut it into pieces about 3/4 inch long and cook it down in a little olive oil until tender. Add salt and pepper. It's also good added to homemade vegetable soup. Adding some to fresh or frozen speckled lima beans as they cook with a piece of ham or other smoked pork is really good, in my opinion. If you want to batter fry it try cutting it lengthwise and it's not as much trouble.

Its great on the grill. I do it regularly. Olive oil or pam i season with Tonys seasoning.
Any will do. One day this week i wrapped half slice bacon on them. As all know anything goes w/bacon.

I don't know about grilling them, but my very favorite way to cook my okra is to stew them with lots of bacon and tomatoes. It's great served with white rice.

Also, if you have an over-abundance, you can blanch them whole for 3 -4 minutes, zip lock them and freeze them.
