I have not been to Dever in several years, any good BBQ a Brethren would suggest ? I've googled and called some people but always like to hear from a local or someone who knows good bbq and been to a place.

I was going to be in Dever for several days at the National Western Stock Show (this is like American Royal of BBQ) with a bull I raised but he has hurt his leg and is not in show condition. I still may go out for a couple days to look around and take in a night of good rodeo. Any good Q suggestions would be appreciated.

I know it may be a long shot but anyone esle going to be in Dever at the show ?

I'm going. I am originally from Denver, and my family still lives there. As far as Q, pretty slim pickings I think. When I drive in on I 25 , I see a sign that is buffet for BBQ. I haven't gone, but always wanted to check it out.

Wish I were going. Hope you have a great trip!

I think that may depend on how far you want to travel, do you have a car, where will you be staying ect.

Too bad I found this after the fact. I haven't had the chance to hit all the Q spots in Denver but the only spot I can tolerate so far is Boney's in the downtown area. If you're on the far south end of Denver, you can go to the connected town of Parker and hit the Hickory House.

So Boney's in downtown Denver and Hickory House in Parker, any other decent places around the area? I'm heading there in April for a week and would definitely like to try out a place or four!

WOW!!! I'll get with you later (still a long time until April) to see if you are still interested. My wife (also a CBJ with KCBS and MBN) and I would be MORE than PLEASED!
I'll PM later.

I was just in Denver, CO two weeks ago. Found Jim N' Nicks, very good. Google it and enjoy.
