Not quite the Panhandle but back when the wife and I were dating and doing the long distance thing, I would drive twice a month to Kansas through Fort Worth > Wichita Falls > Childress > and up through Perryton. Remember the drive very well. Only one good BBQ spot in Childress.
 
Can't go wrong with nachos. Lookin' good Adams!
