Hinge Grease on a Sitck Burner

what do you guys use for grease on the sealed hinges on your stick burner ? I have heard some people say to use a food grade grease but since the hinges are on the outside I figured any high temp grease would be fine .

Food grade mineral oil. Use it to shine clean polish the smoker and works great on the hinges too!

but these hinges that take grease not oil , the oil would just run out .

Jeff I have the same hinges on my Humphrey's and when I change the seal on the doors, they come off, I spray with some Teflon based lube. Never had a problem. I am gussied you could do the same with the Shirley. You could also take the grease fittings out and pour some Mineral oil in them.

I am a stickler for food grade in most cases but these hinges are outside and nowhere near food areas so I just use the high temp that I use for my machinery. Tubes of food grade only run $20 buy then you'd need a seperate gun too....

Now my food processors, slicers, etc get food grade.
