Frozen Chicken Legs

I have a large quantity of uncooked chicken legs I put in a zip-lock freezer bag and put in a freezer just before July 4th. Safe to use? Thanks.

chicken legs

I would have no problem--I am currently using chicken halves from June thru Aug ---the only problem I have is the redness in some of the meat but thats not my fault, just the processors.:-P

It's safe so long as it stayed frozen below about 0F. It might however have freezer burun and that can impact taste and tenderness.

When using food that has been frozen a good rule of thumb to go by is to throw it
out after 100 years. It it is less than 100 years...it's perfectly safe.

After a year or more in the freezer the food may (or may not) taste as good as when
it was fresh....but it will always be safe to eat. Be sure your freezer is at
Zero degrees Fahrenheit, or colder.
