Got 7 wrong. Went back and checked the wrong ones and learned something. Thanks Joe.

I did find it interesting to learn that a person with aids may work unrestricted in food prep. as long as no other preventive condition is present.

Do you realy store table wiping cloths in a sanitizing solution?

nmayeux 07-16-2006 04:29 PM

I missed three. The ones about leaving the screen door open, how long possum can be left out, and how to tell which ditch is safe to catch mud bugs. Better luck next time...

(1 is stated dependent NY is funny but you can. and 39 The last number I heard was many years ago in Florida was 4 inches which must have changed.) Thanks again for the time and effort to help us all.

Pitbull 03-07-2008 11:34 AM

I missed 8. Not too bad not having had a course. And....I learned something. :-D

STX Cue 04-07-2008 07:50 AM

Just an update...the temperature danger zone has been changed to 40-140, so the correct answer to #2 isn't available.

Qcrue2U 06-16-2008 03:40 PM

I missed 9. # 9 is tricky because A and D are the same just backwards...
Not bad for not talking the course yet.. :)

As a Food Service Officer in the Navy years ago I went by the 40/140 rule. I thought maybe the range had been changed when I saw this test.

I got 9 wrong (one or two about the 135 temp), but it was better than I thought after so many years.

Good Info

toadhunter911 09-10-2010 08:55 PM

Got 6 wrong. Not bad considering I haven't worked in a restaurant since 1985, and we weren't required to pass a test or take a food handling course.

wannchef 09-21-2010 09:29 PM

Got 6 wrong but only 5 if you count #2. I too missed the 135 degree question. I erred a little high. Really informative test. THX

douglaslizard 03-14-2011 09:11 PM

wow ,i missed 29,was about ready to sell all my smokers grills and give away all my bbq tools, seasonings and all,but then when i went back and looked noticed i skipped a question and threw my whole score off,so really i only missed 4

chef christopher 03-08-2012 06:53 AM

greetings from NYC

great info. 5 wrong for me--included erring hi on the on the holding temp and the #2 40/140 rule. a good refresher for me, as it has been several years since taking the NYC food handling exam.

Pa_BBQ 03-23-2012 10:14 PM

Great test, I also missed a question which made it look like I was missing every stinking question until I found the pattern.

What score do you need to pass the exam?
