Too Early To Start Planning The Second Annual BASH ON THE BAYOU?

Shreveport, Louisiana at the same place as last year. I'm trying to plan it far enough in advance for folks that did not have enough notice last time to have time to plan. Not on Memorial Day Weekend this year as many will make other plans for those day. Last year we had 30-40 attend. Lets see if we can have more Brethren come! I'm throwing out Saturday May 21st 2022 as Memorial Day Weekend is the following weekend.

Looking for any and all input. We had a Blast last time around, Let's Double it!

You know what Hotch is going to say, it's never too early! I am totally in agreement. Set a date and I'll try to work it in.

It's on my radar, that is if you'll let me come after the Dawgs win it all?

After Further Consideration...

With the inflation going on right now, I'm postponing the BASH. Can you image the price of smoker tow gas and meat plus air fares etc? Lodging?

I will revisit this when prices drop some. I know some can still afford to do it but others can't.

Thanks,
Mike

I saw this posting this morning as I am thinking about the 2022 Texas BBQ Brethren Spring Bash Planning Post.
And early planning is great.
I need to reserve a date as the pavilions go fast at Isle de Bous.
Mike I'm looking at April 9th.

With enough time we should see proteins on sale early spring.
Hotels are another issue. As $130.00 - $150.00 a night is twice as much as my budget!
Maybe be mostly local family, friends and Brethren attending till the USA is back on track.

Being as it's still November (just barely) and we're talking Bashes in May (and now April) I reckon we've got plenty of time to save a li'l extra Bash Cash.

My last Bash was September '19 (gtr's Labor Day Pig roast) so I'm ready to party with my Brethren amigos!
