I might be able to make this one. A bit far out with a lot going on so, I can't commit today.

I might be able to make it depending on how far I would have to drive.

I've re-read this thread from the beginning and I'm not sure where this bash will take place, other than somewhere in Texas.(worst case 900 mile drive) A 5 or 6 hundred mile drive might be do-able.

Ok, I’ve scrolled a bit through the pages in this thread, but keep missing the date. When is this Bash happening, please? I’m going to try to come since I’m able to drive myself these days-although I may bring a friend. I’m out of the medium heat rub I used a couple of years ago, but can bring some “hot” rub if y’all are interested. :)

I put down one person but will probably be two (Mrs frognot, aka Sandra) or possibly four and a baby (my great nephew Jake, wife Celeste and baby Clay). Jake is at Fort Hood and will be deployed after Thanksgiving. Plus Celeste's dad, Glenn in Tennessee (Gatordawg here, aka my nephew) who really wants to attend this bash.

This is not counting some of Jake's friends at Fort Hood who might be convinced to attend.

I received a call from a Belton Lake volunteer. They're not done with setting up their end but getting closer. Nobody else has requested Overlook Pavilion for our date. Hopefully we get final approval soon.

Had to move to the maybe category. Got house construction and flooring folks coming the week before the Bash (had to re-schedule) and can't leave Sandra here by herself (she can't drive due to retina surgery).

My great nephew and great niece at Fort Hood (that I wanted to join us) will be in Tennessee that week so it'll probably just be me but won't really know until last minute.

I've dropped from Maybe to Nope, unfortunately. Hope to meet some more of you in the spring.

I have a really hard time with that drive unfortunately, but it isn't so bad for me to drive to Hotch's place in the morning.

I hate to post this but we need to know...

We need to get a hard count. Lots of our regulars can't make it. I've received a few phone calls with concerns. I don't think we have the numbers to make this happen. Let us know now so we can plan accordingly. If we can't make this one happen we'll see everyone in the spring. We've had to cancel a spring bash once so I think everyone will understand.

It looks like we're down to just 6-8 people. I can't even get my local relatives to show up for free bbq. They have had 4 friends die in the last couple months. I know part of it has to do with the uncertainty of securing the bash site. That was something we never dealt with before. I had a couple locals make other plans because of this. Maybe next spring and fall will be better for everyone. Y'all stay safe and healthy, especially you Charles, and we'll see each other real soon.
