Hogz Gone Wild will be there. I have a feeling this is going to be a wild competition. 75000 people expected to attend, plus planes flying overhead....Should be a lot of fun.

Jim Stancil is putting this one on...it'll be a great event! I wish I could cook it......out for this year.

We're in. Site layout shows the teams will be between the jet runway and the helicopter pad. Bring earplugs.

Has anyone received any kind of packet in the mail for this yet?

I was actually thinking the same thing after posting. I haven't gotten anything in the mail nor one single email for anyone. I know they cashed my check already though :razz:. I rarely see mailed packets, but don't think it has ever gotten this close to a competition with zero emails from the organizers. Makes you feel safe doesn't it :crazy:?

The apps are going to the air show promoter, but Big Jim is the BBQ contest organizer. That may make for some delay as info goes back and forth, but I wouldn't be concerned. Schedule, site layout, etc. are posted on the event Website.

I've cooked at contests that never initiated any communication at all and had no Website, BTW. But then I'm a lot older than the Internet and Justin Bieber's mom. :twisted:
