Did my first prime rib on the stumps yesturday. It was a 16# lip on, I put it on the smoker at 12:30 at 210 degrees, pulled it at 130 degrees and let it rest in the cambro from 45 minutes and then rolled it on the weber to crust the outside. I think it turned out great and no complaints from the company.

Thanks! I put some worcestershire sauce on it and then put on a fairly heavy coat of Montreal steak seasoning, with a little turbinado sugar under that.
I believe the lip on refers to the big hunk of fat that you can see on the back of the prime rib in the first pic.

i have often wondered how montreal steak seasoning would taste on rib eye. I mglad it turned out. 16lbs is ALOT. any left overs?

OK - got to hand out a "droll bib" award on that one too. It looks absolutely tasty! Mouthwatering just looking at the photos. I can taste it from here.
