yea, it's cold outside... and while the animals gathered 'round the woodstove inside,
I fired up the "Weber-stove" to cook up some dinner outside.
Butternut squash and Red Garnet yams started...
hours earlier, after an apple-beer brine, two decent sized Porterhouse pork chops were rinsed, dried and
seasoned with a salt-free rub (http://tvwbb.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1980069052/m/9320063643) that i found is pretty versatile. (Thank you again Kevin)
Then the porkers hit the grates for a quick sear then indirect until they hit 140' - 145'F.
After a brief rest under foil, the chops and everything else was plated and served...
Yes, I did sample the Porterhouse for tenderness and for it's flavour... it was alll there! http://tvwbb.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
I thank you again for swingin' by http://tvwbb.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Our nightcap consists of....

Even though your veggie to meat ratio is slightly off it looks very tasty...

Awesome woodfired stove! I don't know what I'm more jealous of, the woodfired stove or the red weber...

You definitely have bigger kahuna's than I do. Nice looking meal and pron. I really like that woodstove, red kettle and most of all the mini weber. Where did you find that, would love to have a couple. Think I will have to try a Sam Adams winter ale this afternoon. Haven't tried that one yet. :thumb:

Those monster chops look mighty tasty. Stay warm.

Thanks everyone :)
umm... the Weber grill is brown, must be the camera... and the temp was only 26'F (C on the left, F on the right). Butt with the wind chill factor, it felt like +5'F
Porterhouse Pork Chops are cut with tenderloin in. They're cut thick and are very meaty. It's the Cadillac of pork chops.
The mini grill can be found on CL or eBay... I found this one on eBay for 10 or 12 bucks, have a larger green one found on CL for 7 bucks. They were made for Weber for promo purposes, I understand.

Hey Jazz

Looks like we're from the same neck o the woods.
Just started snowing here (huge flakes) and my bubba keg is fired up right now.
Making roast beef for sandwiches . . .sauteed mushrooms, onions, and provolone.

Happy cooking!
