I hope to pick up a sirloin tip roast about 8 lbs. Any ideas on how to cook it> Need it for church bonfire Sunday around 6pm. krogar sale for $2.99/lb.

The sirloin will cook like a prime rib, low and slow till medium rare. Cut thin and serve with mash taters and gravy. That's how I do it anyways.

Edit: If it's for church ya might wanna go medium.

Wallaby, are you wanting to cook it at the bonfire site or before that?

I will cook it at home, but I am only 5 min from site.

Sorry for the delay Wallaby, been into the Tx - NY playoff game. The reason I asked was that Jeanie, aka "Cowgirl", as you probably know, would be a master sourse to ask about cooking at the campsite. Anyway, probably what JT said would be a good choice. Good luck bro!
