This is my first pron on here i believe. The butt was about 8 lbs and smoked from 11 am until around 8 pm. I never was able to get it to 190 but i was just under and the bone slide out with ease. I foiled it at 160 and put a cup of apple juice in there. It did make the pork alot sweeter and more tender, but i like just foiling it and having a nice crust on it. With the cup of apple juice it didn't form the nice bark like it usually does. either way it was some good eats...enjoy!!! :thumb:

Thanks guys! It was great actually. Its pretty much all gone!

My chargriller coasted along at 225 for most of the day. I accidentally fell asleep and it went down to about 195 for a while which probably why it took a little longer to cook. I usually cook until around 200-210 but the pork shoulder wasn't cooperating! lol

LQ,

Looks great yankee. When I get a plateau situation, I'll foil & pop it in the kitchen oven. Some meats just do that.
