http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz188/AggieTailgate/3a4bf3c4.jpg was taken with my phone camera, hopefully I can get a good picture with my dSLR soon.
http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz188/AggieTailgate/3dc08110.jpg shows the bottom grate a little better. The welder used is not the little hobart you can see in this pic.
I cut the end off the butane tank last week, and learned a lot from cutting the first end off. This is the second one. My brother in law, father in law, and I did all of the fab work on Friday. We built a lid for it yesterday out of 1/16th metal along with a 1" lip to go all the way around it, most women won't be able to lift the lid. All thats left is to add handles on the actual pit, sand it down, and paint it black. The whole thing is 30" across, and 18" deep. I should have taken progress pics along the way, i'll just have to do that when I build one for myself. We built this one to donate to a church festival auction, and I'm wondering what its worth.
