I finaly got a real thermometer for my horizanal smoker. My question is where is the best location to mount it?? Any ideas??

As close to where the food will be cooking as possible. Grate level. More than one is a good thing.

Yep, just above the grate is best unless you can mount it about 1/2" below the grate. Mine is mounted in the lid so it is 1/2" above the grate. But, the goal is to make sure you measure the temp at "meat" level.
