Wanted to grill some shrimp to make the grilled shrimp egg rolls Cowgirl posted a few weeks back. Grilled extra shrimp and some Carne Asada to make tacos for dinner last night.

Marinaded carne asada in orange juice, lime juice, vinegar, garlic, cilantro and spices. Marinaded shrimp in Smoky Okie's Seafood Splash seasoning that I purchased from Smoky Okie, it is as good as Cowgirl said and makes a very tasty shrimp.

Dinner is served. Carne Asada and shrimp tacos with home made salsa, green onions, cheese and jalapeno heaven sauce and a side of refried beans. Very tasty meal and I have my grilled shrimp for the egg rolls.

Dang Brother, that is some mighty fine pron right there. Looking really tasty, bet it didn't last five minutes past the pic! My pron never does. Well done, I'll be coming back to this one. By the way, what cut of beef is that for the carne asada?

1/2 c white vinegar
1/3 c orange juice
1/3 c lime juice
1 c water
2 T fresh crushed garlic
1 T white pepper
1 1/2 T salt
1 T cumin
1 T chili powder
1 T mexican oregano
1/4 bunch cilantro chopped

Great looking tacos! Only one piece of advice, use one less tortilla per taco so you can have 6 tacos instead of only three:clap2: Trust me this math works in your favor.

The two tortillas per taco is mexican style. Great job!

I seen that at Taco Bell too. I have never seen it in Mexico though (Mexico experience limited to Nuevo Laredo and Juarez). Maybe regional in Mexico??

I ate a salad for dinner, trying to be healthy during the week so that I can eat what I want on the weekends. I think I need to add a new rule, don't come on this website after I eat a salad for dinner. Those look great, man I'm hungry.

Here in northern mexico, most places use 2. Most add a kind of sauce, sort of like Tapatio that soaks in the first and with one they split when you eat them so the use 2 .

I use the multi quote button (") next to the quote button on all of the quotes, then hit reply. I don't know if this right but it seems to work for me.

BTW Great looking grub. :thumb:
