I built a UDS a couple of months ago.

I have yet to fire it up and see if it will even hold temps.

That is why you should fire it up. Cook outside and don't heat up the house.

This week I'm heading to Lake Mead (Nevada-Arizona border) its been a 110* or more. I'm going to Q a brisket and I was thinking if the outside temp was around 110* then the drum closed up without any fuel would be around 200*. I'm thinking I dont need much fuel and I'm gonna need to choke back big time. So, its Hot and Fast Brisket time.

We have had over 100 degrees F for quite a few days. That's the perfect time to fire up the grills and smokers. I had baked potatoes, grilled steaks, and grilled corn over the weekend and never fired up my kitchen stove or oven. No heat in the house is a plus.

Fire that UDS up and cook something. :-P
