View Full Version : Prosciutto Wrapped Caprese Skewers

These are some great appetizers for summer..fresh and light..I took some homegrown cherry tomatoes,sliced them in half then took those mini mozza balls cut them in half,put a piece of fresh basil between the two halves then wrapped them with the prosciutto,skewered them added a little pepper and a drizzle of good olive oil..dam good and the ladies LOVE them

Balsamic would be even better!..I have tried it but I was out of it this time

Good eye!..I just torched them until the meat tightened up..but they are fine without any cooking

Not necessarily cherry tomatoes and on a skewer like this, but Tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto with olive oil, salt and pepper is one of my favorite things about summer. I can't wait for my tomatoes to ripen.
