Got my UDS finished ! Yea !! But the paint is only 5 hours old. How long should I let the paint cure before its safe to season it ???

Nice! I like the handle idea! I'd give it a day. Go too soon and even high-heat paint will peel off. It needs 24 hours to cure.

I would think 24 hours would be fine. What does the can recommend?
I put 2 coats on mine. Very nice job on the drum.:thumb:

Thats the problem, the can doesnt exactly cover 300 degrees of heat. I'll give it a day, and thanks for your input !

How much paint have people been using on their UDS's.

None on mine. If you paint it it might not be ugly. Still a man from the phone company came over the other day to do a repair and lost his mind over my rusty old drum.

I used to own a paint factory in a previous lifetime. 24 hours is right on!
