I froze some of my bacon wrapped breakfast fattie.

This AM, thawed it, cut in 1/2" thick slices and heated in microwave.

Buttered griddled English muffin, fattie slices to fit, folded scrambled eggs and a slice of American cheese - under the broiler until cheese melts.

Voila, a great breakfast sandwich.

I love a fatty breakfast sandwich!

Try heating the fatty slice in a skillet. It doesn't take much longer than the microwave but you get a nice crust on the outside of the slice.

What is a leftover fattie?

Never heard of such a thing.

These only appear in myth. Hence no one really knows what to do with it.

I certainly think the English muffin idea is a good one, along with warming in a skillet...but first you have to discover this thing called a "Leftover Fattie".

What is a leftover fattie?

Yeah, isn't that one of those urban-myths?

That's why I really like the "traditional" fatty of JD right out of the package and onto the smoker. I make a bunch of them, freeze some for later. I refrigerate two of them, and slice the meat off like summer sausage. It is great as a sandwich meat on bread with mayo. Mmmm. And some nice dill spears and chipson the side, with a frosty brew! Oh Lord, man, I gotta make some more fatties real soon. :-P

Yeah, isn't that one of those urban-myths?

I verified with Snopes that it is indeed an urban legend.

But if there was such a thing as "left-over fattie", on an English Muffin would be a good call.

(BTW, first fattie sammie I ever had was on biscuits that Ron_L cooked on his pit at the Libertville comp. Good eats!)
